Sydney Opera House – Forecourt Remedial Waterproofing Project
Sydney Opera House forecourt, addressing water ingress issues affecting the external surface and underlying structure.
The scope of works involved detailed inspection and leak detection to identify membrane failure and compromised joints. Existing deteriorated waterproofing systems were carefully removed to protect the integrity of the surrounding structure and heritage-sensitive areas. Our team then installed a high-performance liquid-applied membrane system designed to withstand heavy foot traffic, weather exposure, and long-term structural movement.
All works were carried out under strict site management protocols, ensuring minimal disruption to public access and events while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.
The completed project restored waterproof integrity to the forecourt, protecting the substrate from ongoing moisture damage and extending the lifespan of this world-renowned landmark surface.
